How goals work
- Paceline: standard Weekly Goals based on American Heart Association guidance. See Weekly Goals Overview.
- Paceline+: Personalized Goals customized to your recent activity. See Personalized Goals.
Your goals are generated each week when you tap View Goals. After that, activity syncs from your linked device and your progress updates on each goal. Earn up to 2,000 Pacepoints per week by achieving your goals.
Why didn't my earlier activity count toward my goal?
Your goals are generated when you tap View Goals. If you tapped View Goals partway through the week, earlier activity won't count toward your goal right away, the progress will update when you next sync an activity.
What to do
Your progress updates automatically the next time you log a new activity of the same type, like a new run or a new step sync. There's no manual fix needed on our end. It corrects itself with your next activity.
How to avoid this next time
Tap View Goals every Monday when the new Paceline week starts. That way, everything you do for the rest of the week counts from the beginning.
We send a push notification each Monday to remind you to start your paceline week. Enable notifications for the Paceline app in your phone's settings so you don't miss it.
What if a workout synced under the wrong category?
Paceline maps workout types from your connected device or health app to the activities we recognize. Occasionally, a workout may sync incorrectly or land under a general category like "Other" and may not count towards a goal. This can happen when a provider uses a label we don't have a direct match for, or when they update how they classify activities on their end. Contact us with a screenshot of the relevant goal and workout(s) and we'll take a look.
What if a Personalized Goal looks unusual?
If a goal seems much harder or easier than your recent activity, or doesn't match the kinds of activities you usually do, let us know. It could mean some of your activity data didn't sync correctly. Contact us with a screenshot of your goals and we'll take a look.
