How do I improve my Paceline Score?

What actions improve my Paceline Score?

Your Paceline Score is built from these metrics: Sleep, Resting Heart Rate, Endurance (VO₂Max), EHR Minutes, Strength Workouts, and Steps. Improving your score means focusing on the metrics that have the most room to grow, and keeping consistent on the metrics that are performing well.

Start by tapping “Learn More” at the top right to familiarize with the Paceline Score. Tap into each individual metric to see the score for that specific metric, the 8-week weighted average, and your most recent week's value.

Why consistency matters more than intensity

One big workout won't move your score. One great week won't either, at least not dramatically. That's by design. What actually moves the score is steady, repeatable behavior across multiple weeks, which has a compounding effect.

This also means that taking recovery days or missing a workout doesn't undo your progress. The score absorbs short-term variations. What it's measuring is your trend rather than your peak (or valley).

What to focus on this week

Look at your metric cards and pick one or two inputs where your score has fallen. Those are your highest-leverage opportunities. Targeted focus over a few consistent weeks is how scores trend upward. Your goals are also personalized to help you improve your score over time.

One more thing worth noting: keeping your device on throughout the day, and not just during workouts, gives Paceline more complete data to work with. Metrics like Resting Heart Rate and Sleep depend on passive wear, so consistent device use directly supports a more accurate score.
