Making the most of your Paceline Score

Paceline Score is part of Paceline+

Paceline Score is available with Paceline+. Start with a simple, holistic score. Then go beyond the number to understand where you're making progress and which areas deserve more attention.

To learn more, see What is Paceline+?.

When your score updates

Your score updates every Monday. Each Monday's score is calculated from the latest eight weeks of your data. Paceline also checks for new data every night, so if your device didn't sync in time for the Monday update, your score will reflect that data the following morning once it does.

Why eight weeks? One strong or quiet week nudges your score. It doesn't define it. You can view your score history over 8 weeks, 6 months, 1 year, or all time.

How to read your score

Five bands make the scale easy to scan:

RangeBand
800–850Peak
740–799Great
670–739Good
580–669Fair
0–579Low

Use these ranges as reference points. They reflect where you are relative to people with similar demographics.

Below your overall score, each metric has its own card showing its individual label and score. Tap any card to see more detail, including your 8-week weighted average and your value for the current week.

What to do with what you see

Paceline Score went up: Something is working. Reflect on the week's sleep, activity, and consistency, and note what felt steady.

Paceline Score stayed flat: Week-to-week consistency in your score usually means your habits are consistent, too. If you're in a range you feel good about, that's worth maintaining. If not, a stable score is a clear baseline to build from.

Paceline Score went down: Tap into each metric card to see which inputs shifted. That's where the story is. Was it sleep? A lighter week on activity? Once you know what moved, you have something specific to work with. Remember, a dip doesn't undo what you've built.

What goes into your score

Six signals work together to shape your score. Your score appears once Paceline has enough history to see a clear pattern.

Lifestyle

  • EHR Minutes: Time spent moving with your heart rate raised
  • Steps: Everyday movement, not only workouts
  • Strength: Sessions that load and challenge your muscles
  • Sleep: How long and how consistently you recover

Fitness

  • Resting heart rate: Your heart rate at rest, understood as a trend
  • Endurance: VO₂ max, a measure of your aerobic fitness

Each metric is weighted by its importance to long-term health. Sleep and cardiovascular health carry the most influence on your score. All metrics are normalized for your age and biological sex, so your score reflects your health relative to people with a similar demographic profile.

Data completeness

Data completeness shows how much of your week Paceline can see. It appears as a percentage and ranges from Low to Medium to High.

To capture more of your week, wear and sync your device through the day. Completeness adds confidence to your score, it does not raise your score.

Put your Score into action with Personalized Goals

With Paceline+ your Weekly Goals are personalized each week to the areas that can make the greatest difference for your health right now, and they cover many of the same areas that shape your Paceline Score.

If your score shows a metric that needs more attention, your Personalized Goals give you a specific way to work on it.

Building habits that work

Your score is a reflection of consistent behavior over time. It won't respond immediately to a big workout, and it won't drop after one bad night. That's the point.

If you want to see your score improve, the most reliable path is building steady habits over time: sleep consistently, keep your heart rate elevated a few times a week, and move every day. Small, repeatable actions are what compound into meaningful results.

Check in weekly. Reflect honestly. Keep going.
