Leaderboard Overview

Modified on Fri, 22 May at 8:47 AM

The Leaderboard is a way to stay motivated alongside fellow Pacers — see how your movement stacks up, build consistency week over week, and earn Pacepoints when you finish the challenge.

What types of Leaderboards are there?

There are two Leaderboard types:

  • Steps Leaderboard — Rankings are based on your total step count for the week. Steps are synced from your connected device or phone.
  • eHR Minutes Leaderboard — Rankings are based on your total elevated heart rate (eHR) minutes for the week.

Both types use the same weekly cadence, activity level grouping, scoring, and Pacepoints structure — the only difference is which metric powers your score.

How do I join a Leaderboard?

On the Social tab, you'll see three options:

  • Join Any Leaderboard (you'll be randomly placed into either a Steps or eHR Minutes Leaderboard)
  • Join Steps Leaderboard
  • Join eHR Leaderboard

Your choice applies to the current week only — each time you join a new Leaderboard, you'll get the option to pick again.

Which Leaderboard should I choose?

Pick the type that best matches how you move:

  • Choose Steps if you walk, run, or track movement primarily through step count.
  • Choose eHR Minutes if you cycle, lift, or use heart rate as your main activity metric.
  • If you're not sure or you want to randomize the experience, choose Join Any Leaderboard.

Can I switch my Leaderboard type mid-week?

Once you've joined a Leaderboard for the week, you cannot make any changes. You can choose a different type the following week.

Can I be in both a Steps and eHR Minutes Leaderboard at the same time?

No, you can only be in one Leaderboard per week.

When does the Leaderboard week run?

Leaderboards run Monday 12:00 AM → Sunday 11:59 PM in your local timezone.

How can I see last week's results?

Use the This Week / Last Week toggle at the top of the Social tab to switch between your current Leaderboard and last week's results.

What rewards can I earn from the Leaderboard?

All Pacers get points for participating, and you can earn bonus points for finishing in the Top 10:
