Fitbit to Google Health Migration

Modified on Wed, 26 Aug at 12:24 PM

Google is moving Fitbit connections to Google Health. To keep your activity syncing with Paceline after September 30, you’ll need to migrate your Fitbit account to Google and reconnect it to Paceline through Google Health.

It’s a quick, two-step process. Your Paceline account and existing activity history will stay the same.

Will I lose my history?

No, your Paceline account and existing activity history will remain intact.

What happens if I don’t reconnect in time?

Your activity will stop syncing with Paceline until the new Google Health connection is completed.

How long does reconnecting take?

Most reconnects take less than a minute. There are two steps:

Step 1: Migrate your Fitbit account to Google Health

If you haven't already, follow Google's instructions to convert your Fitbit account into a Google Health account.

Step 2: Link your new Google Health account to Paceline

  1. Tap the Profile icon and select Linked Fitness Devices
  2. Tap Connect Another Device
  3. Select Google Health and then sign in
  4. Allow all permissions (Paceline cannot work without these)
